The House That Became a Box of Memories
I used to live with my boyfriend and my son. At the time, I felt that my life was normal, just living a happy life. Turns out, I couldn't be more wrong.
One day, my fairy tale suddenly turned into a full-on freak show, like Bruce Banner turned into The Hulk. The house didn't feel like a house anymore, all I could see was just a box of memories, each corner reminding me of what I've lost.
And then God removed the blindfold from my eyes. What seemed like the end was really the start of something beautiful, a chance to find myself again, because honestly, I’d been more lost than Little Red Riding Hood without a GPS."
"Night Of Reflection"
Alone at night, I’d sit on the couch, staring at the dining table, replaying a movie in my mind, the three of us, laughing, having dinner, being a family. That scene broke me into tears every single time.
I didn’t throw anything away; instead, I began shifting things… in many ways. One night, after crying again in that same spot, I realized I was stuck in a loop, reliving the same emotions. I wasn’t ready to erase everything, but I was ready to feel something different."
Small Shifts That Changed Everything
So, I made small changes. I moved the furniture, reoriented the couch and dining table, switched a few decorative pieces and artwork, learned new recipes, and even took different routes to work. No major renovations. No big purchases. Just small shifts. And somehow, those little changes brought a lot of relief.
When the Setting Changes, the Thoughts Follow
It wasn’t instant healing. But that corner on the couch, which once felt like a trap, now felt different. The room had a new story, and so did I. The same home, the same objects, but a different emotional lens. Those small acts of movement and trying new things freed me from the weight of the past, little by little.
If you’re going through something similar, try making small changes in your space. You’re not erasing memories; you’re giving your heart a new layout to move through.
🧠 A Betrayal is a Trauma
When someone betrays you, it hurts the deepest part of you: your self-love. Healing doesn’t happen overnight, and often it requires the help of a specialist. I’m not a therapist, just sharing what in my life helped me move forward. I called it “Operation Liberation”: seeking help, shifting my energy, making space for the new.
Feng Shui taught me that when energy gets stuck, we get stuck too. Moving a piece of furniture, opening a window, changing a space… is also moving your life. Healing begins with one choice: choosing yourself. A small shift can start a new chapter... one step at a time.
With love,
Regina
